Why warehouse and distribution cleaning is different

Warehouses, distribution centers, and flex-space buildings on Long Island do not clean like offices.

Why warehouse and distribution cleaning is different

A 40,000-square-foot distribution center is not seven offices stacked together. The floor is the dominant surface. Dust load is heavier and stratified. Fine particulate settles into rack uprights and beam-top horizontals that vacuum heads cannot reach.

The office bullpen needs the same nightly desk wipe as any professional office, but the bathroom and breakroom traffic patterns look like a small factory, not a 9-to-5 staff.

The crew you send in has to read both modes. That is what we have built over 25+ years on Long Island.

Vertical pain points

What Long Island industrial buyers tell us they need

01

High-bay floor that actually looks clean from the loading-dock door.

Auto-scrubber programs that hit aisles, cross-aisles, and dock plates on a documented cadence, not just the visible centerline.

02

Rack-beam and overhead-truss dust.

Most cleaners skip it. We schedule a quarterly overhead pass with the right reach equipment so OSHA inspections and insurance walkthroughs do not produce a finding.

03

Office-area programs that don't drop just because the warehouse is loud.

Your sales team and dispatcher work in the same building. They get the same nightly desk-and-restroom program our office accounts get.

04

Realistic windows around shipping schedules.

A 6am shift-start means our crew finishes by 5:30. If you run a late shift, we schedule against your slack hours, not against ours.

05

One owner accountable to one client.

When something breaks (a missed dock area, a chemistry change, a staffing turnover), you call Mike Penoro directly, not a national dispatcher.

What we do

The services warehouses and distribution centers actually use

  • High-bay floor care

  • Warehouse-office cleaning

  • Warehouse post-construction cleanup

Anchor client: Orbit International

Orbit International is one of our longest-running industrial accounts. They make electronic and electromechanical systems on Long Island, and the building runs an office-plus-manufacturing pattern that is typical of the high-value Suffolk industrial corridor.

We've cleaned their facility for years on a program that combines nightly office service, scheduled floor care, and overhead passes. That's the same playbook we now run for other industrial buyers in Hauppauge and Melville.

Why the relationship has held: one owner accountable, one crew that knows the building, one written scope.

What clients say

Industrial client reviews

We've been with Above N' Beyond for years. The floor in our distribution area looks better today than it did when we moved in. Mike's people know what they're doing. (verified Google review)
Switched from a national chain that kept losing the office side every time their warehouse crew rotated. Above N' Beyond does both. Same crew. (verified Google review)

Common questions

Industrial cleaning FAQs

Do you crew for first-shift or third-shift facilities?
Both. We schedule against your slack hours. Most of our warehouse accounts run between 5pm and 11pm crews. We adjust for any shift pattern.
Can you handle a 40,000-sf or larger building?
Yes. We crew project work up to the size of the building. The 25+ years of Long Island commercial work means we have the labor pool to scale a single account.
Do you carry the insurance our risk team will ask about?
Yes. Fully insured and fully bonded. We send the certificate to your risk team on request.
